The rules
of the stay.
These terms apply to every booking made directly through aska.com. Last updated April 2026.
Booking and payment.
Bookings are confirmed when payment is authorised. Rates are quoted in EUR but charged in ISK at the bank's published rate on the day of charge. An 11% Icelandic accommodation VAT is included in all displayed prices.
Flexible-rate cancellation deadlines vary by property and stay. The exact deadline for your stay is shown before payment. Stays booked on Non-refundable rates are charged in full and are not refundable except where local law requires.
Cancellations and changes.
Cancellations made before the deadline displayed for the Flexible rate are refunded in full within 5 business days. Date changes are subject to availability and the terms of the selected rate class. No-shows are charged as a one-night penalty.
The ASKA Member rate uses its displayed Flexible terms. A separately selected Non-refundable rate remains non-refundable.
Check-in, check-out and behaviour.
Check-in is from 15:00 local time (14:00 for members, subject to availability; €25 for non-members). Check-out is by 11:00. Smart-lock PINs are personal, time-limited, and revoked at check-out.
ASKA properties are smoke-free. Damage caused to the room or property beyond ordinary wear and tear will be charged to the card on file. Serious disruption may result in early termination of the stay without refund.
Liability and jurisdiction.
ASKA is operated by GreenKey ehf, registered in Iceland (kennitala on request). Disputes are governed by Icelandic law and settled in the courts of Reykjavík.
